Climate performance is critical to the circHouse design. The tropics with heat and humidity can lead to problems with insects and mold and wreck havoc on most building materials. Add heavy rain and high winds and tents and yurts create problems with durability and maintenance that are hard to mitigate.

Because the circHouse has insulation between the double walls and insulated roof panels the cooling is greatly enhanced by cross ventilation and the use of fans or air conditioning.

All the interior and exterior surfaces have easy to clean, washable surfaces. Salt spray can be hosed off.
